Now in its updated Fourth Edition, this classic text provides comprehensive coverage of all aspects of occupational and environmental medicine. The book offers accurate, current information on the history, causes, prevention, and treatment of a wide range of environmental and occupational diseases and includes numerous case studies.
This edition includes more information on gene-environment interactions. The section on air pollution has been completely reorganized. Other Fourth Edition highlights include expanded coverage of government responses to the field and a new chapter on children's environmental health.
Reviews
Book is outstanding reference. Has well developed bibliography for further reading. Outstanding for go-to text for citations in workers compensation cases or other work in occupational and environmental medicine.
Reviews
The most clinical and diagnostic of the major works in Occupational & Environmental Medicine. The text includes all the usual (and necessary) approaches to cover this topic: - disease by organ system - disease by chemical / physical cause - disease by industry / business sector
Includes necessary components on ethics and advocacy. Not as program-focussed as other works which seem designed to support medical directors more than diagnostic clinicians.
